چکیده
Pterostilbene, a dimethylether analog of resveratrol, has been found to have potent biological activity. However, the bioavailability pterostilbene in system is limited due its poor solubility an aqueous environment. A nanoemulsion was designed for this purpose. Lecithin-based formed after 3 cycles through high-pressure homogenizer at 500 psi. The rheological properties and particle size were measured using dynamic light scattering viscometer. storage stabilities prepared formulation determined based on ability maintain loading concentration. According experimental results, lecithin-based contained approximately 9.5% pterostilbene. Over 28-day stability test, size, zeta potential, encapsulation did not change significantly, indicating good stability. positive effect studied confirmed vitro lipolysis caco-2 monolayer model.

Highly Concentrated Acetic Acid Poisoning: 400 Cases Reviewed
Background: Caustic substance ingestion is known for causing a wide array of gastrointestinal and systemic complications. In Russia, ingestion of acetic acid is a major problem which annually affects 11.2 per 100,000 individuals. The objective of this study was to report and analyze main complications and outcomes of patients with 70% concentrated acetic acid poisoning. Methods: This was a retr...
متن کاملOrange juice (poly)phenols are highly bioavailable in humans.
BACKGROUND We assessed the bioavailability of orange juice (poly)phenols by monitoring urinary flavanone metabolites and ring fission catabolites produced by the action of the colonic microbiota. OBJECTIVE Our objective was to identify and quantify metabolites and catabolites excreted in urine 0-24 h after the acute ingestion of a (poly)phenol-rich orange juice by 12 volunteers. DESIGN Twel...
متن کاملPhysical chemistry of highly concentrated emulsions.
This review explores the physics underlying the rheology of highly concentrated emulsions (HCEs) to determine the relationship between elasticity and HCE stability, and to consider whether it is possible to describe all physicochemical properties of HCEs on the basis of a unique physical approach. We define HCEs as emulsions with a volume fraction above the maximum closest packing fraction of m...
متن کاملRotational dynamics of thiocyanate ions in highly concentrated aqueous solutions.
The thiocyanate (SCN(-)) anion is known as one of the best denaturants, which is also capable of breaking the hydrogen-bond network of water and destabilizing native structures of proteins. Despite prolonged efforts to understand the underlying mechanism of such Hofmeister effects, detailed dynamics of the ions in a highly concentrated solution have not been fully elucidated yet. Here, we used ...
متن کاملThe Coulter Principle for Outlier Detection in Highly Concentrated Solutions
This application note will benefit chemical and material manufacturers concerned about micron and submicron par ticle contamination. Outliers are a common problem in many industrial applications. Outliers can be defined as particles that are significantly larger or smaller than the main particle size distribution, but which occur in a much lower frequency than the main par ticle size. As a simp...
